Getting Started
The first step is to set up a meeting to discuss goals and answer questions about your project.
The initial meeting in our showroom will give you an opportunity to appreciate the fine quality of cabinetry lines we carry. Before arriving, take some time to gather information such as a budget, your time frame for a completed project, your personal style and functional needs. Not only will this information give focus to your project but it will provide us with guidance when we are designing the space that is perfect for you! If this project is new construction, we will need a copy of your blueprints. As for our work, we can provide references and many of our clients would love to have you see their finished projects.
Design
The next step is to visit your home and take measurements so a design can be created that accurately reflects the room you are remodeling or building. This is where we begin to think about details such as pullout drawers and decorative molding. KSA Kitchens will also assist you in selecting counter tops, faucets, sinks and any other options. To help us with the design process, we need your appliance preferences. With all this information we can get to work on designing and pricing your project.
At this time, we require a non-refundable retainer that will be applied to your cabinetry if ordered within 3 months for baths and small projects (i.e., an island, laundry room, etc.) and 6 months for a full kitchen. The drawings will remain the property of KSA Kitchens until a contract is signed.
Drawings and Proposal
We will present the floor plans and elevations along with the proposal and pricing. The proposal will include pricing on cabinetry and any other options and accessories you have chosen. At this time, details and decisions will be finalized.
Contract
A meeting will be set up to sign the cabinetry contract and at this time we require a deposit of 50% of the purchase price of your cabinetry for a kitchen remodel and the full price of the cabinetry for a bath or small project. The balance will be due upon acknowledgement from the factory that the cabinets are to be built.
During this time, you need to be selecting a contractor. We can supply the names of several companies we have worked with and whom we can recommend, if you don’t have a contractor. We encourage clients to get bids from two to three contractors before hiring. We will go over the plans with each bidding contractor. Once you have selected a bid, a contract will be signed between you and the contractor. But you are not left on your own to supervise. We work with your contractor and will stop in, periodically, to oversee the progress. If there are issues, we will work with your contractor to resolve them.
In the Mean Time
The additional options you have picked (appliances, sinks, faucets, tile, countertops) will need to be ordered. KSA Kitchens can help you with these selections or you may choose them on your own. If you would like us to order, we require a deposit on these items before we can proceed.
Delivery and Installation
The length of time required for the installation and completion depends on the complexity of your project. But we are with you, every step of the way! So why continue to be dissatisfied with rooms you spend so much in; when, together, we can create a beautiful kitchen or bath you will enjoy for years to come?
